The world record structure was an industrial shed. On 4 August 2025, our crews erected a 35,100 sq ft industrial PEB shed for Sunshakti Industries at Betma Khurd, Indore, in 34 hours 30 minutes, with 50 skilled workers. Harvard World Records, London certified it as the fastest erection of an industrial PEB structure.

For a client, the record matters for one reason. An erection that fast is only possible when design, fabrication, dispatch and site work are planned as one job, down to the order the members leave our Pithampur plant. What is a PEB industrial shed?

A PEB industrial shed is a pre-engineered steel building used for manufacturing, fabrication or storage. Its frames, purlins and cladding are designed for your exact span, height and loads, fabricated in a factory, then bolted together on site. That makes it faster to build and easier to extend than a conventional shed.

How much does an industrial shed cost per sq ft?

The cost depends mainly on the span, eave height, crane loads, wind and seismic zone, roof and wall cladding, and accessories such as ventilators and skylights. Steel prices at the time of order also affect it. Share your area, span, height and site location and we will give you a detailed quotation for your shed.

How long does it take to build an industrial shed?

It depends on size and complexity. For reference, our 35,000 sq ft shed with office mezzanine for Vells at Pithampur took 250 tons of steel in 2 months, and the 1,00,000 sq ft Haarish shed took 400 tons in 2 months. On-site erection is the fastest stage: our crews erected the 35,100 sq ft world record shed in 34 hours 30 minutes.

Can a PEB industrial shed carry an EOT crane?

Yes. If your shed needs an EOT crane, we design the columns, crane brackets and crane beams for the crane capacity and span from the start. Tell us the crane capacity at the enquiry stage, as it changes the frame design.

What is the difference between a PEB shed and a conventional steel shed?

A conventional shed is usually built from standard hot-rolled sections cut and welded on site. A PEB shed uses tapered built-up members designed for the actual loads at each point, so it typically uses steel more efficiently. Because members are fabricated in a factory and bolted on site, quality is more consistent and erection is much faster.

Can an industrial shed be extended later?

Yes. PEB sheds can be extended in length by adding bays, and in width with additional frames. Extension is simplest when it is planned at the design stage, so let us know if you expect to expand your unit in the future.

Do you build industrial sheds outside Indore and Pithampur?

Yes. Most of our sheds are in the Indore and Pithampur industrial belt, but we build factory sheds across Madhya Pradesh, including Dewas, Ujjain, Bhopal, Gwalior and Jabalpur, and take on larger projects in other states.
